Losing Hair #hairloss #health

HI All,

I didn’t realize that this would happen but it did.

I am still in my 20s and its been an emotional struggle to say the least.

I have visited my doctor and done tests and the conclusion is that well…weightloss

Nutritional deficiency.

When you are losing weight, you have less nutrients which means your hair growth cycle is just not the same so I am losing hair 😦

My hair has become much thinner and finer since losing weight, sometimes coming out in what seemed like handfuls when washing it and its horrifying! My hair is so thin at the front of my hair ( where everyone can see) and it honestly has effected my self confidence.

Every time I get dresses for work, I’m worried about how I will style my hair so that It won’t look like this.

In general I have low porosity hair but combining this with hormonal changes…. I keep colouring my hair so my bald spots don’t show and I know colouring might be another reason but at this point it has gotten so bad that I sometimes use this powder to cover this bit.

Anyway, just a shitty outcome of body changes.

Even with this happening I am continuing to eat healthier and I will continue to lose weight.

From reading many articles it seems like this has happened to many and a phase that will eventually return to normal. I hope it does 🙂

Weight loss is never easy but at the end of the day it is for Health – I am continuing this journey so I hope you too as well.
